According to my neighbor who happened to see me do one of my 9AM Monday morning segments on WUSA9, I have become a local celebrity. That may be stretching it a bit but I have really enjoyed getting the opportunity to appear and prepare for our regular Monday television segments.
This past week I had the opportunity to have a few special guests with me - my coworkers children. It was such a great experience to develop crafts that the children were excited about and that would help the environment. We had two activities that the children could easily do. They both incorporated reusing items commonly found in your home.
The first is to take an old pasta sauce jar and some seashells that you collected on one of your family vacations and make a nice little decoration out of them. Then the second is to take a paper egg carton, fill it with some soil from your backyard, and plant a seed in each compartment. As soon as planting season comes along you can cut apart the sections of the egg carton and plant the whole thing in the backyard.
Make sure to tune in at 9AM Monday mornings on WUSA9 for more great tips.

We are working really hard to finish up our new web site. It is a huge job! We never thought it would be this much work but when we got into it, we found out that we really have a tremendous amount of information in our company.
Parents are going to love this new site.
